Member of the Massachusetts, New Hampshire and American Bar Associations and the Defense Research Institute, a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of Outstanding Lawyers of America. He is a recipient of the New Hampshire Bar Association President's Award for Service to the Profession, was a member of the Civil Justice Reform Advisory Group for the District of New Hampshire, 1991-1995, and lectures for the New Hampshire Bar Association and New Hampshire Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Wheat is rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell, and has been selected for inclusion in the National Register's Who's Who in Executives and Professionals for the 2005-06 edition. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the area of commercial litigation, and has also been recognized by Chambers USA as a leader in the same area.
