Professional:

John is a trial lawyer who represents clients in personal injury, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, products liability and insurance coverage cases. He is also frequently asked to serve as a mediator or arbitrator by others who are involved in such litigation. He was admitted in 1978 to practice in all New Hampshire courts, including the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in 1990. 

John served as managing member of the firm from 1998 to 2004. He has been an instructor for the New Hampshire Bar Association's and the New Hampshire Trial Lawyers Association's continuing education programs on various topics of insurance law and  volunteers as a mediator for the New Hampshire Superior Court and the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire. He is rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell.

Other Activities:

John serves as Moderator of the Town of Deering, New Hampshire, and as Chairman of the town's Zoning Board of Adjustment.  In 2003, he was appointed by the New Hampshire Municipal Association to a commission tasked with recommending changes to New Hampshire's Right to Know law (RSA Chapter 91-A), in light of advances in computer technology. The duties of the Right to Know Study Commission, by the terms of its enabling legislation, ended in October 2004 when it filed its final report. The Commission was renewed in 2005 by an act of the New Hampshire Legislature (House Bill 41) as a five-year oversight  commission. John was appointed to the new commission by the Municipal Association, and was elected by the group to serve as its Vice Chairman.

Prior to attending law school, he was President of Liquid Assets, Inc., a soft drink manufacturing company in central Montana.

B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Idaho, 1966; J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center, 1978.

Military Service:

U.S. Army Ordnance Corps, 1966 - 1970. Platoon Leader and General Staff Officer, Heidelberg, Germany. Rank: Captain.

Born Phoenix, Arizona, June 8, 1944.
