Robert Murphy



Bob's practice involves the litigation of commercial and personal injury cases in both state and federal courts. He has tried personal injury and products liability cases, broker and appraiser errors and omissions cases, construction, real estate and a variety of general commercial cases over the last twenty-eight years. Bob also has actively represented clients before the New Hampshire Supreme Court in cases arising from this practice, and in the Superior and Supreme Courts in the appeals of municipal land use decisions.

Prior to joining the firm, Bob served as Law Clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Martin F. Loughlin. Bob is a member of the Manchester, New Hampshire and American Bar Associations.

Bob has served on the New Hampshire Bar Association's Committee on Cooperation with the Courts and the Special Committees on the Rules of Evidence and of the Rules of Civil Procedure.

Bob has been a mediator with the Superior Court Rule 170 ADR program since its inception, and presently serves on the volunteer mediator panel.



Mr. Murphy is a member of the boards of the Legal Advice & Referral Center and New Hampshire Legal Assistance, is a Past Director of New Hampshire Habitat for Humanity, and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the South Congregational Church of Concord, New Hampshire.



Bob was educated in the Manchester public schools, attended the University of New Hampshire and the University of Missouri, where he received a Masters of Business Administration and his Juris Doctor. Bob and his wife, the Rev Gayle A Murphy, live in Concord and have raised three sons.
