

 Prior to joining Wadleigh, Starr & Peters, PLLC, Don's experience included five years of government service with the United States Army Judge Advocate General Corps (JAG). During this period, Don's practice included government contracting, federal employee labor relations, military claims and litigation. Upon leaving the service, Don was appointed an Assistant Attorney General for the State of New Hampshire and worked principally in the Criminal Division prosecuting major crimes before both the Superior Court and the New Hampshire Supreme Court. He also worked on behalf of the State of New Hampshire in defense of a major class action suit brought against the State which was tried in United States Federal Court over a period of several weeks. Before leaving to enter private practice, Don had been appointed as Chief of the Criminal Division by the then sitting Attorney General. |

Since coming to Wadleigh, Starr & Peters, PLLC in 1985, Don has represented a wide array of clients in civil litigation matters ranging from anti-trust litigation to professional negligence. Many of his contested cases involved complex claims and unique circumstances requiring the ability to assess and assimilate legal issues that were unique to the client's circumstances. Over the years, Don has represented such varied clients as hospitals, doctors, nurses, lawyers, engineers, realtors, manufacturers, banks, developers, hotels, trucking companies and many other professionals. In addition, Don's practice has included claims by clients who have been harmed by some form of professional negligence or neglect. In the last fifteen years, Don has expanded his practice to include arbitration and mediation which provides the opportunity for him to bring his considerable experience to the process of attempting dispute resolution without the necessity of litigation

Don has been a charter Board member on the Board of Directors of the Child Advocacy Center of Rockingham County, a first in the State organization formed to protect the interests of sexually and physically abused children. In addition, Don has been active in a number of environmental organizations, both locally and nationally.

Don received his undergraduate degree from Norwich University in 1970. He subsequently received his Juris Doctor degree from Northeastern University in 1973. He has participated as both a presenter and student in numerous Continuing Legal Education programs over the course of his career.

Don is admitted to practice in the State of New Hampshire and is admitted to practice before the United States First Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. Court of Military Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the New Hampshire Bar Association and the Manchester Bar Association. In addition, he holds membership in the American Association for Justice and the New Hampshire Association for Justice.
