

 Jim has tried every nature of civil case in the state and federal courts over the past 37 years. His cases have included matters involving airplane crashes, surgical microscopes, all types of construction equipment and transactional matters, professional negligence of architects, engineers, attorneys, real estate agents and brokers and accountants, eminent domain, wrongful death, dram shop actions, personal injury, insurance coverage, products liability and a variety of others. Currently, he focuses for the most part on complex commercial litigation. He has also continued an active appellate process before the New Hampshire Supreme Court and the First Circuit Court of Appeals having briefed and argued over thirty cases. |

Jim is and has been included in The Best Lawyers in America for its Commercial Litigation rankings; is recognized by Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers for Commercial Litigation; is listed in Superlawyers for Business Litigation, Professional Liability, Defense and Construction Litigation, has won the N.H. Bar Association's President's Award for Service to the Profession, and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Jim received his B.A. Degree in 1968 from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, his J.D. from Boston University in 1971, and completed a Clerkship with the Justices of the New Hampshire Supreme Court in 1972, before joining the Firm.

Jim is admitted to practice in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, the United States District Court for New Hampshire and the First Circuit Court of Appeals.
